Rooms
Each bedroom in our Lake District Hotel is well decorated and equipped with all that you would expect from a quality hotel - direct-dial telephones, tea and coffee making facilities, hair-dryers, trouser presses and colour television. Premier rooms enjoy these standard amenities as well as still and sparkling mineral water, power showers and satellite television, all put in to make your Lake District holiday one to remember.
The majority of the rooms in the main house are standard rooms and have original features, charm and picture perfect views. Room 30 has been modified to enable wheelchair access and room 23 has a large walk-in shower ensuring an option for the less mobile, there are also several ground floor rooms.
Dining
There is one thing that makes The Borrowdale Gates Hotel a favourite hotel amongst past guests - its culinary pedigree. The Lake District hotel has had, for many years, an enviable reputation for culinary expertise. Lounges
With their full length picture windows, the lounges accommodate morning coffee, bar lunches, afternoon tea, aperitifs and after-dinner drinks and are a perfect place to sit and relax or meet friends during your Lake District holiday. The bar is open to residents from 12 noon, while the history of both the hotel and the village mean non-residents can only be served alcohol accompanied by food.
