Dog Policy

At The Borrowdale Gates Hotel, we are happy to welcome well behaved friendly pups. We do however ask that owners follow the following guidelines when bringing their dogs along to stay with them, to ensure the comfort for yourself, your furry friend, and our fellow guests.

• A £18 per dog, per night fee is charged for your dog to stay at The Borrowdale Gates Hotel. If your dog has been a little naughty and the rooms require maintenance or cleaning from this, there will be a surcharge.
• We allow up to two dogs per room. However, not all rooms are dog-friendly, so please call us prior to your stay to check availability.
• As our restaurant is open plan, your pet will not be permitted in any of the public areas including the bar.
• We are happy for your dog to be left unattended in their rooms, if you are confident that they won’t become stressed in their new environment.
• We don’t allow dogs on our furniture or beds so please remember to pack a suitable bedding area for your furry friend.
• Please remember to clean up after your pet.
• Please be mindful of other guests in the hotel as some guests may be wary of dogs.
